TERMS AND CONDITIONS

RATES

  • Your room rate includes the following: accommodation, activities with a naturalist guide, all meals and soft drinks, use of facilities, and shared transfers from Quito to Mashpi Lodge and Mashpi Lodge to Quito (from/to select hotels in Quito only).
  • Your room rate does not include: taxes, cable car service, alcoholic drinks, spa services, and additional services (available at an additional cost).
  • For security reasons, the doors to the Reserve close at 3 p.m., so keep in mind you won’t be able to enter our facilities after this time. If you’re not sure you can make it, we suggest you consider a stay in Quito before your adventure in Mashpi.

IMPORTANT

  • Due to Mashpi Lodge’s location and the logistics involved in getting here, we recommend that our guests stay a minimum of 1 night in Quito city.
  • Due to Mashpi Lodge’s location and the logistics involved in getting here, we do not offer early check-in or late check-out options.

PAYMENT POLICIES

  • To fully confirm your reservation upon booking with us, we will not charge you a deposit. Instead, at the moment to register your credit card, you will give the authorization to Mashpi Lodge to use that document as a guarantee that we will receive full payment of your booking according to our payment policies detailed below.
  • Full payment of your booking is required 30 days prior to your check-in date. We will proceed to charge your credit card with the full payment automatically 30 days before your arrival. Please note that this fee will not be refundable in case of cancellations or modifications pertaining the reservation.
  • Should your booking include a non-refundable rate (a discount or promotion of any kind), we will require full payment of the entirety of your stay the moment you confirm your booking. This full payment will be processed the moment you confirm your reservation with us. Please note that this fee will not be refundable in case of cancellations or modifications pertaining the reservation

CANCELLATION & MODIFICATION POLICIES

Prior to acknowledging a cancellation request, we encourage our guests to reschedule their booking for another date within the same year.

  • If the cancellation is received between the date of booking until 31 days prior to your arrival, there won’t be a charge on your credit card.
  • If you cancel your reservation any time between 30 and 0 days before your arrival, the full payment of your booking is non-refundable (100% cancellation fee).
  • If the cancellation for a reservation during peak season* dates is received any time between the date of booking and 46 days prior to your arrival, you will not be charged.
  • If the cancellation for a reservation during peak season* dates is received between 45 days and 31 days prior to your arrival, we will charge 50% of the total payment. This fee cannot be transferred to another booking.
  • If the cancellation for a reservation during peak season* dates is received between 30 and 0 days prior to your arrival, the full payment of your booking is non-refundable (100% cancellation fee). This fee cannot be transferred to another booking.
  • No shows will be charged 100% as a cancellation fee. This fee cannot be transferred to another booking.
  • We highly recommend that you consider purchasing travel insurance before your trip. Although clients organize their itineraries the best way to ensure a smooth and enjoyable trip, sometimes unforeseen circumstances can occur. Travel insurance provides peace of mind and financial protection against the unexpected, such as medical emergencies, trip cancellations or delays, lost or stolen luggage, and other mishaps that can disrupt your travel plans.

Please note that any modification of dates and/or room type(s) will be regarded as a cancellation.

Peak season dates range from December 15th to January 15th.
